Gas Attack

[php snippet=1]
A major component of weaponry during the First World War, chemical agents such as tear gas, mustard gas, chlorine and phosgene inflicted terrible trauma on the body, yet their capacity to kill was limited.

In Gas Attack, an officer appears from a cloud of mustard gas to inspect his troops before leading them into battle, his fearless stance contrasting markedly with the exhausted postures of the shell-shocked soldiers.
